I am a researcher having many years experience in recombinant proteins production processes from bacteria and cells CHO, and in the last five years, also from plants (tobacco and rice) grown in hydroponic environment.
I use all the latest and most innovative systems for biotechnology. Chromatograps such as Akta Pure, Akta Pilot, Akta Ready and Akta process (Cytiva), managed by Unicorn software, are daily used, similarly both manual and automatic cross-flow filtration systems (Sartorius, Pall, Cytiva etc) with cassette, cartridge and hollow fibres. Besides all this, additional depth filtration systems, sample homogenisation systems, supercentrifuges, decanter, blade and colloidal mills are selected according to the characteristics of the matrix to be processed.
Scale up, whether on a pilot or industrial scale, specific knowledge of viral removal, process automatization and control.
